What began with an almost perfect spring – providing good soil moisture and warmer than usual days and
nights – ended with a summer in the Derwent Valley that was cooler, cloudier and far more humid than we’ve become accustomed to in recent years.

The accumulation of aromas, flavours and grape sugars seemed to take forever. Well, almost.

In the end, 2011 rewarded us with some of the best wines we've produced here in southern Tasmania.
