Blaufrankisch is a fresh and vibrant red varietal that originates in Austria. The second-most planted red grape in Austria, Blaufrankisch is a fantastic food wine, with a balanced palate full of blue and black fruits and subtle tannin, coupled with great minerality. Steve has previously worked with Blaufrankisch at biodynamic winery Pittanauer in Austria in 2012, an experience which inspired him to bring this varietal to Tasmania. An exciting variety.
