Deep Valley, a new collaboration between Father and Son team Steve, of Stefano Lubiana Wines and Marco Lubiana.
A balance of Steve Lubiana’s classically graceful wine making style and Marco’s youthful intuitiveness has resulted in a new joint label for the talented duo. Developed to produce small batch wines from Steve's biodynamic vineyards located in the Derwent and Huon Valleys, these limited production, unusual and alternative wines are pure expressions of creative thought.
Huon valley NOS02 Pinot Noir grown on ancient river deposits containing cobble stones and washed grey clay is a 100% whole bunch wine made in a Beaujolais style without any additions (no sulphur). 11 months in stainless steel which produces a wine with bright sweet strawberry fruits and an elegant bramble backbone of tannin. Unfined and Unfiltered!
Grown on grey gravel soil, with low yields. This wine is all about pure fruit, fresh plums and ripe cherries. The wine spends two years in barrel, which allows for the tannins to relax making this wine ready to drink from the bottle, no decanting necessary. Unfined and Unfiltered!
Grown on grey gravel soil and some red clay based soil in Tasmania's Derwent Valley. Made in a nouveau style rather then the age-able style previously made by Stefano Lubiana Wines. It has nice bright raspberry fruits and tight acidity. Whole berry, natural fermentation followed by 11months in old French oak. Unfined and Unfiltered!
